If you are considering an ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in lacrimal, orbital and cosmetic eyelid surgery, Dr. Soheila Rostami is the right choice. I was referred to her by my doctor because I needed eye surgery and have a "lazy eye." This is a condition that if my good eye were to be damaged, I could become a legally blind person.

Safety and professionalism are the main concern for me. On the day of my first appointment, Dr. Rostami was very upfront and took the time to explain the procedure - the pros and cons of my surgery and what to expect. I can't totally express how much I love my "new appearance." I've had so many compliments referring to how great I look. I no longer receive comments such as "you look really tired" or "are you upset?" (indicated by the creases between my eyes). The Restylane treatment not only caused my "smoker's lines" (and I don't smoke) to disappear, but made my upper lip fuller, resulting in a nicer smile.

Although I was very anxious about the procedures (both Botox and Restylane), your thorough explanation and calm, pleasant demeanor were very helpful. I was most comfortable with the knowledge that eye surgeons have used Botox for a number of years prior to it becoming a common "cosmetic" procedure. The follow-up phone call was a very nice surprise. Very few health care providers take the time to do that--just another indication of your attention to detail, concern for your patient, and professionalism.

In January 2007, Dr. Rostami performed a blepharoplasty and eyebrow ptosis repair on both of my eyes. Before the procedure, I had no upper peripheral vision. My upper eyelids sagged, giving me a sad look.

Dr. Rostami is a very competent, compassionate, and caring doctor. I would go to her again. The surgery was quick and the results amazing. Discomfort was minimal from the surgery and the after care instructions very clear. I now have a new bright world. My appearance is much improved.

I am writing to let you know how pleased I am with the blepharoplasty and eyebrow ptosis repair procedure that you recently performed on my eyes. It is great to have the quality of your life improved at age 81. My long distance vision is much better. This is important to me as a golfer. I can follow my shots all the way to where they land. My night vision is considerably improved. While I keep night driving to a minimum, I now feel much more confident about the thought of driving after sunset.
